Numerous studies show that businesses develop significantly fast when using ICT-s. Businesses run by women are not exception to the rule. Taking into account this factor, Digital Literacy for women entrepeneurs in Armenia was implemented in 2014. The initiative was financed by Asian Development Bank (ABD) in Armenia with SME-s development national center in Armenia. In the frame of the program series of digital literacy courses were organized in all marzes of Armenia for entrepreneur women. The courses aimed to increase digital literacy level among women entrepreneurs in business management.
The courses consisted of 2 main sections; basic and extended.
The basic section included basic computer literacy; Windows, MS Office, Ingernet Browsers, how to look for business information online, useful resources and websites –including government portals,how to open and use an e-mail account, business correspondence via e-mail.
Extended course consisted of ICT in business, how to promote businesses through social media platforms, developing personal web-pages, using sector-specific platforms, Internet sales and online market places to find buyers and suppliers, etc.)
The course was particularly significant for businesswomen in regions. The program was highly values by the participants.
